Premium Rate Jobs
The Premium rate feature allows you to pay an additional hourly rate to specific jobs. The most common scenarios where this can be applied is when employees perform:
- Dangerous Jobs
- Overnight Jobs
How is it calculated?
This rate will be added on top of the highest hourly rate that an employee may have (Employee Profile, Job Rate, or Min Wage).
Example: If an employee has a premium job with a $15 hourly rate plus a $2 premium rate on his timecards, his total pay at the end of the day would be 15 + 2 = $17. However, if the employee has a higher compensation rate on his employee profile than what he has on the job, the $2 premium rate will be added to the compensation rate instead.
How do I create a Job with a Premium Rate?
The premium rate can only be assigned to hourly pay style jobs. While creating a new job, when you select the hourly pay style then the premium rate field will appear
To add a premium rate, check the check_box Premium Job and type in the rate
If you are going to start using a new job, make sure to add it to the work bundles and update the crew scheduler as well
